Default Antennea broke :(

How easy/hard are they to replace? I think someone bent it when it was parked (car running) and now it won't go down all the way. I'm gonna stick some metallic tape on the break area to keep it from completely snapping off in driving condition. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

From what I know, they are pretty easy to replace. If it's anything like the Xj40, you just undo the retaining bolt, turn the radio on, and let it unwind out, keeping note of which way the "teeth" are running.

You can get a new antenna from eBay for like $20, or you can get one of those silly stick on antennas. I much prefer the older electric style antennas. I'm nearing the need to replace mine. It's bending back a bit from too much highway driving at high speeds.
