Anyone installed a x308 console lid on x300?
The center console lid with cup holder -- It looks like a bit more cushion is on top, but seems like the hinge bolts and front latch would line up.
Just curious looking at pictures of them.

I moved my non cupholder console lid from my X300 to X308 and then to two XK8's because I detest the cupholders which I never use and seem to open of their own accord! Refitted the cupholder lid when I came to sell each car.
Check the front latch. There's two types. One is magnetic and the other looks like a plastic hook. You need the right latch to match the lid. Both types of latch fit the armrests without any modifications.

Yes, the console lids are exactly the same on the X300 & X308. If you can find a 2003 X308 lid, it has the reinforced/improved metal hinged cup-holders that don't break.
They show up used on eBay quite often, and you can also still buy the metal hinged assembly new from dealers on and eBay too.
The only issue is that the vinyl hood/cover on the 2003 metal hinged unit is a different shape underneath to accommodate the hinges, so you'll have to find a hood/cover in your color or paint the cover to match. I did the later through various vinyl paint experimentation.

The console lids from the XJ40 will also work but they use a magnet instead of the plastic 'hook'. They can be retrofitted or swapped between both kinds.
The interior colors of the XJ40 are different shades so they will need to be 'dyed-to-match' the later cars.
