Default Attaching this vacuum thing to accelerator cable.

Hi, have been running the car for a month. Passed inspection so now I can work on other issues. The pin shown was handed to me when I bought the car. It fits the hole in the slide and in the diecasting but not both at the same time, like it is cocked.

Is the item for crankcase ventilation? What can I expect when I reconnect it? The buttery smooth idle when in Drive, and stopped at a light is interrupted by a tiny miss once every so often. I have not looked at spark plugs yet.

Thank you for every suggestion, you have no idea how much you have helped me.
sincerely

Nothing to do with your PCV system. This item, you are referring to, is part of your cruise control system....

Cruise control and manifold / EVAP vacuum are 2 separate and isolated systems

The cruise control has a separate vacuum / control pump

The pump is located behind the left headlights
