Default Bad squealing sound

Hi,
I have a bad squealing on my 95 xjs (6 cylinder)
Every time the alternator gauge reads low I hear squealing which sounds like a belt squealing to me.
Every time I start up the car it squeals for a few minutes. Once in a while it will squeal at other times. However, every time it squeals the alternator gauge reads low which usually happens after I start off from a traffic light or stop sign. Also, every tine the alternator reads low I hear the squealing noise. The belt itself looks fine.
I just look at the rotation of the belt and it looks like the belt is aligned up with all the pullys. Any ideas what I should be looking at?
Thanks,
Jomo

If the belt isn't slipping, the harmonic balancer may be.

I used to use Dale Manufacturing and Damper Doctor but that was years ago.

Update: I tightened the alternator belt and the problem is gone!
Thanks for your inputs!

The alternator belt has little tension adjustment in reality , the belt size as official is critical

For a easy harmonic balancer check that Al has made a pic worth a thousand words

No belt removal required

On engine stop the white lines you have applied should line back together

Pic coming
