When I bought my car a few months back I found that my battery was not secured and that the positive wire terminal was held in place with a set of vise-grips. My question is what am I missing? Is the battery held in place with a hold down that goes over the battery or just something at the bottom? Is there a battery tray? Mine currently resides in a cardboard box. The positive battery terminal looks like it is supposed to have a bolt going to a nut that when it is tightened it closes the clamp but I'm not sure.
