Default Busted Glovebox (locking mechanism removed)

So another issue with me sexy new Jag is the glove box will not close.
it was obviously broken and it looks as tho the previous owner has begun a repair job.
the rods and stuff have been removed and are sitting in my glove box.
i would obviously love to attempt to put it back together but have no idea how it is meant to go back together.
Does anyone have any pictures of their glovebox locking mechanism so i can work out what springs/clips and whatever is needed and how to put it together.

I plan on going to the salvage yard on Tuesday as they have many wonderful things there and one of them is a busted glove box latch that can be harvested for the spring

I have to get the glove box open for the part I need anyway

Ok, so i bought a glovebox to replace mine as the locking mechanism was all busted up.
as my car is oatmeal leather i purchased an oatmeal coloured box.
however being a 95 sovereign there is actually 3 tone interior. Seats and part of the door cards are oatmeal, the upper dash and steering wheel are antelope but the lower dash and other parts of the door trim is not oatmeal leather.
it is a different colour.
you can see from my pics what i mean. The glovebox matches the seats and handles and lower door card, but does not match the 3rd colour which is on the lower dash
so what i need to do is swap out the locking mechanism.
so i assume it is as simple as
drill out the black rivets, swap over the mechanism and them screw/rivet it back into place.

Well once again as often is the case there is no real problem. I got home and realised the glovebox they sent me was a X308 (i assume) as it was larger in its storage area and also had a slightly different shape and larger door.
so,
i drilled out the rivets, popped out the lock assembly,
did the same on mine, removed the handle, removed the locking pin,
removed the handle on mine, put the new locking pins in, put my handle on, put the locking assembly on and screwed it on with 3 x self tappers where the rivets were.
will fit it to car tommorrow when i have time

Ugh! Was this the same guy that sold you the mirror for the X308? Dang. Glad you could salvage the latch and make good on it.

I'm wondering how you would end up with a mix of colors in your car. Maybe the PO did that? The lower door main panel looks cream, whose partner is coffee. Antelope dash uppers are only ever paired with oatmeal. AFAIK.

yep same guy....
2 parts purchased... 2 x308 parts supplied.
invoiced for x300 tho...
urgh.
and this guy makes a living from wrecking jags, land rovers, triumphs, very select in his english marks...
not happy at all.
but atleast my glovebox is fixed.

i have not got another to compare it to so i dunno.
it is what it is.
the seat and lower door are definately oatmeal. my trim code is AGD, i have purchased replacement parts in oatmeal that colour match and i have purchased oatmeal leather colour from scratch doctor which matches.
i also checked the factory guide and the SOV is oatmeal all round with antelop uppers and mink carpets which is what mine is. no mention of this mysterious middle colour
it is just that middle colour that is off.
i do like the four tones of the interior tho.
antelope,
?????
oatmeal
mink carpets......

looks the same as what is in this link so i dunno.
i have always been confused trying to find out what this middle colour is.

????? = Cream. Coffee's partner. Here's an old photo I saved as an example. Coffee/cream in an XJ12. It might have belonged to someone on here.
