Default a/c not staying cool

Hello everyone,

My name is James and I'm new to the site but I'm very excited about being a part of it. I drive a 1996 Jaguar XJ6 and I am completely in love with the car. I have encountered some problems with the a/c recently and was looking for a spot of help if possible. My a.c gets cold at first and then about 2 minutes later it gets warm. There are no leaks in the system, but I did run some 134A through it with stop leak in it as I did have a leak at one time before. I found it to be the valve at the high pressure fitting on th system and replaced that now no leaks. The 134 said that the stop leak was system safe but I have been told by some technicians that I work with that it is probably the expansion valve. I checked into it with Coventry West and they said the expansion valve was included in the evaporator and that it was more of an orifice tube, he also stated that it could be the high pressure switch and that the compressor would be shutting off when it shouldn't. My question is this, has anyone ever encountered this problem before? If so, what did you find it to be, or have you heard of this in the past. I just don't want to go pulling out the dashboard on the car if I really don't have to. Any help would be phenominal, I do appreciate it, and I am happy to be a part of a group of people who share the same interests as me, thanks again.
-James

I'm not sure if it is or not, that would bea good thing to check wouldn't it. I guess that would settle a lot right there, I know I never should have used the stop leak stuff, my mistake. Have you heard of this problem in the past? Also, do you know do I have to purchase the evaporator, or can I just purchase the expansion valve / orifice tube? Thank you
