Cable snapped
Hello fellow enthusiasts ,on my x300 there is a cable\ wire that connects the bonnet to frame of the car it has corroded and snapped . Does this wire affect the cars electrics as I have a few issues ,ie power seats mirrors and drivers widow not working .all fuses ok.
The side mirrors are controlled by a module by the steering collum
The seats have there own control and the common factor between the seat and window is the driver door control
What I found with mine was the connector socket lock bar was loose allowing the sockets to move away from connection
Someone made a set of instructions on removing the door card / panel
When you locate the heavy gauge wires to the window motor you can drive it up and down with a battery charger to confirm you have a good motor / regulator , just swap polarity to go up and down
In the end you have to press the up button for a while at the full window closed position so it learns this position
Looking for your fuses
The # 1 fuse is closest to the large B + post on each fuse box
So you have 1 - 9 row closest to the B + post on the box and the next row comes back to start with # 10
