Unfortunately, the clockspring in my 95 XJR was broken yesterday. I had to remove the steeringconsole from the car, and for some reason, I must have turned the steeringwheel one turn before I was putting it back in the car.
This caused a broken clockspring when I turned the steeringwheel, and the airbaglight and airbag message went on. It also have some strange scraping noises when I turn the wheel.
I have one spare clockspring, and I have a question about that:
Is it normal that the two pins in the same airbagcontact have contact? When I measure the two wires in the Yellow cable, it's contact the normal way, beween the two contacts, but also when I crossmeasure it.
It's contact between both the wires in this yellow cable, and it's not mounted in the car or something else. Just as in the picture.

Reason: Wrong
Thanks. Then I can asume that my spare clockspring can be changed with the broken one without any danger.
By the way: What do the letters mean: "IMPORTANT. DO NOT USE IF CLIP IS MISSING OR BROKEN"?
