Default Constant brake squeal sound when in moving

Hello all!
My 1996 3.2 XJ6 is having an irritating squeal sound while driving (sounds like brake squeal but constant)
happens when driving 20kms or above and after I’ve used the brakes at least once, and it is only localised to the left side of the car! (Quite frustrating and annoying, right side has no noise at all)

- I have had the front brake pads and front wheel bearings replaced April this year
- front discs were done in 2016 but have done quite a few thousand kms since then.

I will use from brake squeal spray as a way to narrow it down the issue, is there any other places I should check or try? Or has anyone else had this experience and if so what did you do?
thanks!

Constant brake squall comes from a dragging brake cylinder ( the clamper ) as possibly 1 as the rears are ignored based on wear history compared to the fronts

Look for gouges in the brake rotors as a tell

It can be the pads worn as well

There is a final brake bleed procedure in the big X300 service manual , use " U " bent bled hoses for proper bleeding of the air in brake lines ( not related to dragging brake )

Parts and procedure link coming

I did some investigation on my front and rears, the front look alright but there is a gouge in the rear left disc. The pad in the rear had a reasonable amount left so might be worth changing as well.

I was hoping it wasn’t a dragging clamp just sounds tedious to deal with…

Attached below is the photo of the rear with the gouge, and the front disc with the wheel off

That's the brakes

There is a difference in the caliper / pad size of the rear vs. front and the supercharged ( X306 ) and V - 12 ( X305 ) model

I don't know about the rotor size

The V - 8 X308 ( 1998 - 2003 ) model had some changes in the wheel area ( bearings and the recess dimensions / seal )

The gauge probably wouldn't pass inspection if they pic that one to look at

Spray the cylinder / clamp 2 inside bolts beforehand of penetrating oil to get the 2 inside bolts out and using the brake with heat up will dry the penetrating oil back out , they have been stuck for how many years , brake lube on reassembly as little packets at the auto parts store counter

Brass anti - seize on the inside brake bolts threads only , small packets at the parts counter

Torque value X

It looks like you have possibly picked up a small stone or bit of metal between the pad and the disc. Try reversing and applying the brake which may dislodge it, failing which pull the pads out for a look. Worst case looks like a set of pads ( NB do both wheels on the axle) as the disc score doesn’t look too severe.

Here’s also the front wheel spinning - would this be normal?
