Hi,

I have managed to locate what I believe to be the source of an irritating oil leak on my xj6 aj16 3.2. Thanks to the forums.
I would like to replace the head gasket as I think that is the source and from time to time (not every time) the overflow tank to radiator gets very hot temp gauge will go up and as I dont want to cook the car I stop let it cool and then carry on annoying. intermittent fault and I suspect head gasket.
I am trying to locate head gasket bolts on ebay but no luck are there equivalent bolts I can look at getting? I have heard that the american lincoln car has same engine? being in new zealand I have to order parts in the local jag dealer wants my right arm and left ******** for each cylinder head bolt I would rather keep those body parts and find a more reasonable price.
The head bolts apparently can be reused up to 3 times I dont know the history of the car and it appears the have been used and marked once with a punch so can be used once more....I am thinking better to replace unless I cant get the bolts.
Ebay has head gasket for about $60nzd plus delivery for just the headgasket
Headgasket sets best price I can find is about $100 nzd plus $80 delivery! ouch on delivery to give you guys an idea of what local jag dealer wants for head gasket set try $1100 nzd! thats 10 times the ebay price.
side question will the headgasket from the xk40 fit the aj16 engine on the forums here it mentions that it will fit but something about the water holes are smaller or oil? any help much appreciated

The Lincoln LS bolts are for the V8.
