My right hand side number plate light is being tempremental.

When its closed it doesnt work, when the boot is open it does,
when you close it and get to 45 degrees it goes off, Ive had the boot lining
off and cant see any trapped, bent, loose wires

Any one got any suggestions ……

 

The wire harness at the off-side boot hinge will be broken. Carefully, remove the ribbon of tape and search for your number plate lamp wires. You'll need to splice in some new wiring. If the harness is cable tied to the hinge, unclip the tie, and let the plastic trim hang freely. The harness need to be as free t o move as possible so as to not damage wires.
