does pressing your ignition key in disable your gearshift lock?
Well something I noticed just now,
if I turn on my ignition so dash lights are on but with engine not running and I then press the key into the lock the gearbox shift lock is disabled...let the key spring out again and it locks it again....you know, the same as pressing the brake pedal....never noticed this before?
...went to move car from cold and it needed 6 seconds of cranking again
...hmm, I had an Audi 100 years ago that didn't start until the key was almost backed off to off, had a bad ignition switch....I wonder?
