Default Door mirror glass

I've managed to crack the glass on the left hand door mirror of my 1997 XJ Executive. Does anyone have a part number for this? I've looked on the SNG Barratt website and they appear to have several different parts with no explanation of any differences. Also, were heated mirrors standard, or is that something that I'll have to look out for?

Any help much appreciated.

Hi there. I've been sending various bits from my surplus donor car to various parts of the world and I have a pair of mirror glasses available, if you're interested. They came off a 97 3.2 Sovereign and have the heater elements. I think they heated automatically if the outside temperature was below 4 degrees. Send me an address and I'll be happy to put them in the post to you.

Removing the old glass is just a case of tilting the mirror glass out to it's full extent at the outer edge, so that there is a large gap showing along the outside edge of the glass and the cover. Then just pry the glass out at this edge. It's a kind of pull and turn movement. It's just a snap on arrangement and replacement is a reversal and obvious once the old glass is removed.

From the wiring guide the temp sensor used for mirror heat is the one in the left brake cooling air tunnel as it is monitored by the Air Conditioning Control Module to close a dedicated Door Mirror Heater Relay for both sides . Pull the connector on the temp sensor to simulate cold temp to power up the heaters .

That would be fantastic. How much do you want for them?
