Hi i have just bought an 1994 xj6/x300 the central locking light flashes constantly on dash switch, the doors all open and close on key fob and form passenger door but will only open from drivers door. The passenger side window switch will only open window,it will open and close from drivers side,it also seems to developed a miss while cruising at speed fine under acceleration but miss begins after abut 20 seconds while at a steady speed thanks.
How is your battery? I would start there - have it load tested. If the battery is ok, you may have a short somewhere, they can be buggers to track down. I had a abraded wire somewhere in the main harness in my 96 VDP when I first got it and it was throwing all kinds of weird codes and causing the tranny to go into limp home mode. Took about 6 times in the shop to finally find it and they had to remove most of the interior. After it was finally sorted out, I had 7 years of trouble free (electrically anyway) miles.
Also, if your car is a 1994 I do not think it falls into the category of a X300, which is normally the 95-97 series XJ6 so you may get better expertise in the XJ40 forum, which I believe covers the 94s.

Anderson, sounds like you have bad switches in the front passenger door for both the lock and window. Because the window will go up, but not down, that is telling me all the wiring is fine. So, that only leaves the switch itself unless you have a really odd problem with the window motor. Same sort of problem is occurring with your door lock switch. When you go to unlock or lock the passenger door from the passenger side, does the lock do anything in either position? If you get no response in either position, then odds are you are looking at a 12 VDC supply problem to the switch. If you look at the diagrams for your car, you should note that there is a common point that both the lock and unlock positions will touch when attempting to lock/unlock the door lock. When the lock switch is in the mid position (default position), the current can flow through the switch because of the internals of the switch.
HOpefully this will help fix your issues. I wish I had the diagrams for this year car as then I would be telling you specific wire colors to check with a multimeter.
