I got one of Carnival Kid's toolkits before he passed. I have since added a couple of Torx bits. Sockets and wrenches would be nice, though.

Many foam cutting tools use a heated wire, they cut very easily. Almost like the foam isn't there. But there are some other tools too. I only tried the hot wire cutter at a hobby show one time.

 

I bought a foam cutting kit that came with two retractable bladed box cutters. 1 about 1/2 wide and the other 1/8 wide. Covered the foam with painters tape. Did an outline of the tool with a fine point sharpie and cut it out with the 1/8 blade.
