Hi everyone,

I have a XJ6 96. The misfire during idle and low RPM has been a problem but the check engine light did not come out. Today it came out as for cylinder 4, and I will be replacing the ignition coil first to see if that fixes it.

However, they were two more codes which I got from the code list:

B1315 Battery Saver Relay Coil Circuit Short To Battery
B1316 Battery Saver Relay Coil Circuit Short To Ground

Everyone I asked seemed to have no idea what those are, can someone please help me? I would really appreciate it!! Thanks!!!

 

well i will be replacing that first, but need to wait for the part to arrive. i can't afford $400+tax per coil at dealers.

besides replacing coil, what is other possible repair?

 

do that first, then see what codes you get.
