Quality is of course important but viscosity/grade is the foremost consideration.
Your owner's manaul will state the most appropriate viscosities. Choose the one best suited for your climate.

Depending on total annual mileage that internval might be perfectly adequate....or very inadequate!

Not sure about your neck o' the woods but here in the 'States I don't think it's possible to buy a low quality oil. There are many varieties with various attributes but none of them are low quaity as far as I can tell.
You engine doesn't *require* anything exotic. If the products available to you are roughly the same as we have in the 'States, any name brand will do, including expensive premium brands :-).

Good !

Just check Asda, Tesco or Sainsbury from time to time, they tend to do promotions on Castrol oil, I always go for that one! Last year I bought it at Asda, they were selling the Castrol GTX 4l bottles for 12 quid! And recently Tesco was selling the small 2l bottles for half price, 6 quid for GTX and 9 quid for Magnatec. Although Tesco doesn't seem to list their oil range online, but it's worth checking them all whenever you do your bigger grocery shopping
