Question Fog Lamp Socket

I need two fog lamp sockets for my 96 XJ6. For some reason, the previous owner cut both sockets off. I can't find them online anywhere, anyone have any idea where I could get them? I might have to turn to a junkyard.

Aye matey, best shot for you is a scrapyard! It would make things a lot easier if you'd update your location, so people can actually give you some more details! In UK the easiest shot to source different parts is eBay, just by looking up listings like 'Jaguar XJ6 breaking' and sending a message to the seller with details what you're after! That way I got my mirror switch for 12 quid instead of 40+ like in proper listings...
But I do agree, proper tosser that was removing the... hang on a second... Are you talking about actual sockets in the lights, or you talking about plugs at the end of the cable? O.o

Thanks for the reply. I'm in the USA in NC. I know the wires are there, but the socket the bulb goes into is missing. I have no idea why someone would cut them off. I'll try eBay, I looked there earlier but didn't see anything regarding light sockets, but I could message someone selling parts. Great idea. :-) I'll try Car-Part.com too - thanks for the help.

hang on a second, now you're confusing the hell out of me! Cable from engine bay, behind the bumper plugs into the back/side of fog lamp unit (the plastic cover). Then you have 2 cables going inside, one is connected to the metal clip holding the bulb in the lamp, then the other cable connects to the flat connector on the cable coming out from the bulb... So what on earth is there missing and HOW someone managed to cut it out? :-/ Sorry man, not having a go at you or anything, I'm just trying to visualise what exactly is missing.

LOL, I don't know either Firecrow, just what my mechanic said.. The only thing I've seen is a wire leading up to the fog light has been cut. He said "the sockets have been cut off", so I don't know if I just need to order new bulbs, which obviously come in new sockets, or if he's talking about something else. He's installing new speakers tomorrow, so I'll ask him to clarify.

right, if you saw the cable, that clarifies it a bit more now. So yes, it is the actual plug from the cable to the fog light enclosure. I just looked through my pictures, but haven't got one of the back of fog lamp... Anyway, if they were cut, new ones will have to be soldered back on... But yes, it doesn't make any sense why would anyone do that, unless there was electrical fault, which he couldn't locate and took a shortcut that way, but it's still weird...
