i need front hubs for a 96 xj6. the part number on my damaged ones are cbc-5209. does anyone know what will interchange with these? i'm thinking maybe even a ford hub or? any help will be appreciated.

 

The later about the same chassis / suspension X308 or V8 ( more Fordized ) has a different bearing setup besides other unknown things

I think the part you're looking for is CAC9834. Welsh had used ones in stock when I asked in September. $215 might make you want to look on the 'Bay, though.

 

Also used on XJ40s. Finding good used ones shouldn't be too difficult

thanks for the quick reply. the hubs on my front suspension are very similar to ford hubs. timkens at both ends, inboard and outboard. thats why i was thinking ford hub may be easier to find and cheaper. is bob someone on this site?

thanks for the reply. .i was hoping someone knew if ford hubs would interchange. they look like a ford hub in that they have timkens on both ends of the spindle. might be wishful thinking on my part.

 

I suggest renewing the threadlocker on the splash shield bolts while you have the hub off. Both of my front brake shields suffered from backed-out screws, a couple years apart.
