Default Grease type?

Just wondering what type of grease you guys are using in your grease guns to grease the nipples on the uj’s?

Morey's Wheel Bearing Grease.

Prior to that whatever Wheel Bearing Grease was at work the day I needed to fill the gun.

I’m in the UK so have got the red line CV-2, I know the uj’s have been greased by my mechanic previously but don’t know what he used, will this mix with that or should I keep pumping until it’s coming out of the joint? Or will it damage the seals?

I always pump it in until new grease comes out around the seals and forces the old, dirty grease out. Never had a problem. I think this was the method approved in service documentation for the Series III or XJ40.

I use a NLGI 2 grade grease, 220 viscosity. Lately I have been using Shell Gadus synthetic, which is lithium based.
