Default Heat and Lumbar Support

About six months ago, I had my front seats redone. I had slightly thicker leather installed, and since then I’ve been using the seat heater — I think it’s working, but I’m not completely sure. Yesterday, after a long day of golf, I pressed the button to inflate the lumbar support, and nothing happened. My question is: could something inside the seat have come disconnected, affecting both the heater and the lumbar support? I know the seat module is working because all the other controls function properly. Everything was working before the seats were redone.

If you take the seat back cover off you should be able to get access to most of the lumbar support bits to inspect them. Recommend to see if the pump is getting power first. I know mine was intermittent bc the air line to the bladder was partly kinked and was tripping the limit switch before the bladder was actually full. I used a zip tie and a bit of stiff hose to help keep the tubing straight.

If memory serves me correctly the seat controller for the higher end seat is located under the seat to pull connector off and read with meter

The lower end seat ( non - memory ) I think is controlled by a bunch of relays on the heelboard fuse box area

There is definitely a seat heater fuse. I don't know if they would have used the same circuit to operate the lumbar pump. I would suspect they would? In any case, I would certainly check that first.

There was a way to upgrade the heating temp on the seat heaters....
