Default Heater hose motor

My little motor in the heater hose probably needs new brushes. I'm getting very little heat from my 95 X300 4.0. .I looked through the archives & found all the motors look to be bigger than mine.On mine the round top part is 1 1/2 " in diameter by 1 1/2" high, Just wondering, is there more than one type/size of these motors & if mine can be rebuild mine?

The other smaller cylinder is the heater valve. It opens to allow heated coolant into the matrix while the pump pumps it through. The valve can open and close automatically to maintain a certain flow through the matrix if your Climate Control is set to Auto. Of course it operates "manually" by changing the temperature setting while not in Auto mode. Neat.

I was wondering what that did after I found the motor I was looking for, thanks for that info, yes interesting. So, how reliable is this heater valve ? Seems like we should make brushes part of the 100k maintenance program in the other motor. I see a lot about this motor failing on The Forums.
In "olden days" the heater hose went into the matrix from the block & back to the block without any fanfare "stuff" & the cabin got hot, high tech?????
PS. LP Hospital ??

From my understanding item 3 is a solenoid rather than a motor so no brushes in there.
