Default Heater hose motor

Finally got working on the heater hose motor. Bench test showed it was working but since its out I might as well put new brush's in it. Does anyone know a way the brush is removed (after the wire is cut) & installed in that brass cage? The brush wire is the holdup. Also where are the brush's sold.
Since the motor checked out OK on the bench anyone have other thoughts? I do get some heat but only when the car is "slow moving". BTW this is a 95 4.0 six cyl

There is a water solenoid that is not full open or closed but modulated by the AC ECU to maintain a constant cabin temp

Brushes are 33A X 2 from a company in California

.15" x .15" x .35" BRUSH 33A

There is a good picture loaded post on brush replace

mentwnd cap is probably swelled and won;t go back in but they can be found at the hardware store as common rubber

The large thin o - ring on the

there is a self test on the AC control head that will give you fault codes to look at the heater components

The proper modulation of the water solenoid depends on a clean cabin temp sensor located as the 1 inch square vent on the panel below the steering column

Thank you for all your in depth help on this project.
I got the old brush's out but still can't figure out how to get the new ones back in the brass cage with that wire coming out the slot in the cage.

Took out the three screws, lower housing off , problem being the armature will not slip off of the armature bearing & the bearing is bigger than the "bakelite" hole to fit through with the bearing still on the armature, therefore the armature won't come out of the brush housing. I don't want to force or beat on anything with fear of braking something. Any plan "B" gents ?
