HELP: 4/3/15 Dipstick tube removal from tranny oil pan
I am in the process of dropping my transmission pan to replace some fluid and most importantly the filter.
1997 XJ6
I'm stuck attempting to get the dip stick tube nut off?
Do I just unbolt near manifold and snake the whole thing out?
HELP PLEASE

I haven't tried on your car but I believe if you remove any bolts that mount the dipstick tube, what you are left with is a tube that is just shoved Ito the body of the transmission. Gentle twisting and firmly tugging on it should free it.
I would inspect the entire length of the tube before trying too hard to pull it out.
If anyone else has actual experience with this transmission take their advice over mine.
Good luck!
