I'm guessing two (not counting spare) mounted tires can barely fit.

Answers to this question appear to be highly resistant to my googlefu. Trying to plan one trip to the tire store (to get 5 new tires and bring back my "winter" set for storage).

I fit three mounted Miata tires, but they're only 23" nominal.

 

I think you can fit 3 if you don't have the CD player mounted at the top of the trunk and the premium sound amp.

 

Three 185/55-15s was pushing it. Are you counting the spare well?

 

I wasn't counting the spare well, but it has been quite a while since I have tried too and my memory could be faulty.

 

Two in the trunk not counting spare well (you are changing that one out too). I remember having to stack one tire's edge on top of the other. 3 in the cabin, using front seat too. All wrapped and belted in like passengers.
