Default HP Power steering hose - MNA3982BC (RHD)

Having over the years of ownership replaced the high pressure ( pump to rack ) power steering hose ( MNA3982BC ) a few times, I had also questioned if it could be routed a better way than along the engine sump to the front and then another section of metal pipe to turn it up towards the pump. Not always an easy task to remove.
Note my car is right hand drive, this modification is probably not feasible with left hand drive.
After the replacing the hose some time ago I decided to retain the end fittings to the rack and pump with thoughts of having a hose made up to take another route.
I have now had a suitable hose fabricated which goes upwards from the rack connector, along the right side chassis rail, basically following the low pressure return hose forward to the radiator cooler, then curving under the A/C compressor and attaching to the pump.
A benefit of this new hose also is that it has been fabricated with relatively common AN/JIC conical fittings each end attaching to the original Jaguar fittings, making it a simple procedure to replace the actual section of high pressure hose.
Pictures attached - Original hose with metal bend
- New hose
- New hose with Jaguar end fittings disconnected
- Install under the bonnet, left side connection to rack and right side connection to pump.
