Loose steering column

my 96 xj6 moves up and down vertically just a little. doesn't move when driving though. i've read this is comman for this model. is this an easy fix or not. do you just live with

Mine does the same. I dunno the fix. I suspect it involves a partial column disassembly to access some loose bolts or such.

Hopefully someone will chime in and we'll both learn about it
