Misfire on Cylinders 1, 3, 5
I thought maybe FuelFilter issue, replaced it. Then fuel injectors, flushed each one. Then replaced all coils with new ones.car still misfiring like a bad pig. Need a suggestion to cure this problem. It's a 1996 XJ6 thanks for a response before I go crazy and throw more money at it.

Welcome to the Forums.
Your XJ6 is known in Jag Talk as an X300, with the AJ16 engine.
The X300 Tech Section, down teh home page a tad further, will have the answers.
When the beast is sorted, please do an Intro in the New Members Area.
My suspicions is the coil loom, especially at the rear, where it bends, and is bent even more to remove it for other engine work, probably broken wires inside the wrappings. Mine had that years ago, simple fix.

Hi Evergreen4,
Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.
In addition to Grant's excellent suggestion regarding the coil wiring, another common cause of misfires is oil in the spark plug wells from leaking plug tube seals.
Also, I have found that the misfire diagnostic trouble codes triggered in the X300 may not always correspond to the actual cylinders that are misfiring, so keep an open mind while diagnosing the cause.
Cheers,
Don
