Getting mixed answers on my 96 xj6 rotors with or without hub.Ordered new rotors and they came rotors only. all data says there are disc screws, but mine have none.My question is were some produced with hubs attached to the rotors.Moore Jaguar in St louis missouri parts man swears they are seperate.

Jaguar never sold a hub and rotor together, they were always separate items. The countersunk screws are superfluous, as the lugnuts secure the wheel and rotor to the hub. I think the screws were deleted after '94 but it's a trivial point. Some of the rotors you can buy may still have a countersunk hole drilled in them regardless. Jaguar hubs are generally $300 each, so it's a blessing that they are separate.

Thumbs up

Thanks for your expertise. Any ideas as how to loosen the disc from the hub with out hitting it with the sledge hammer?

Rubber mallet if your worried, but the rotors are pretty tough, your not going to hurt them or anything else on the suspension unless you have terrible hand-eye coordination .. Eric

I have a kick *** heat gun that I use for alot of stuff that would otherwise require a torch. Clean the mating seam with a wire brush, soak in some penetrant, and heat or beat. They can be really stuck, and a severe pounding can't be real good for the wheel bearings.
