Default After market bluthooth head unit for Jaguar x300

Crutchfield isn't much help with cars like these. I've found a matching trim fascia from the UK but wondering which manufacturers of head units have existing wiring harnesses (looms for our friends across the pond) that fit these cars?

I note there was someone that did a very nice JVC installation in an XK8,but was unable to find a wiring harness, so he made his own. I have no such useful skills.

Has anyone undertaken a DIY installation of an aftermarket audio head unit, and if so, what did you do to connect it?

Thank you, I appreciate the help!
Hi buddy if you email me on
Marco.autos01@btconnect.com
I will email you pics of my car booth alpine install which also runs my sat nav and hands free through the stero system

Default I see a good looking floor mat

Did you have to make any mods behind the unit to get it to fit?
BTW. The floor mat looks classy. Is it original or after market?

Thats it! Im doing that. Gonna relocate hazard, lock, and two seat warmers in place of ash tray. Having an ash tray is disgusting to me anyways.

Ill just order a double din and work it out from there.

Did you ever get the desired result? I have a 1997 XJ6 that I want to do the same thing as you or "Suede" did. Nice install "Suede" did! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

i am actually in the process of this ATM myself.
X300 Android HU upgrade
so i have have had a few issues as can be seen there,
have just ordered some new switches as momentary switches are what is required.
just waiting for those to come. the issue will be getting a flashing indicator for when the hazard is on.
think i know how i need to do it, but we will see
once i get it done check it out.
i was going to mount them on the lower dash panel kinda below where the headlight controls are..
