Question Mysterious Squeak from rear wheel

When the rear wheel is rolling it squeeks

Ive had the wheel off and greased the UJ in the hub and the other one at the end of the arm.

It still squeaks and suggestions ?

Dried bearing maybe !!

make sure the backing plate isnt contacting the rotor, and that you dont have a lip on the rotors that thin brake pads will contact in certain areas and cause a squeek. these are the 2 most common problems I see for this

Brake pads are fine about 3-4mm

Its a squeak not a scraping noise.

All pointers welcome

Maybe squirt some Lithium aerosol grease around all the rear subframe bushes, they could be bone dry? means getting underneath and having a v.good look.

3-4mm on the pads are thin in my book, Brutal could be onto it.

Rear subframe bushes :?:

Im quite at home working on the E & G but on the newer cars I need a few pointers, does anyone have an exploded diagram where I need to be looking

Looks like I need new pads fitting, and if Im doing pads, discs as well.

Just checking the shed, I have some red stuff rear pads in there I bought a while back....

So on getting home tonight and carefully parking to see if I got the sqeak when braking, which I didnt.

On bouncing the rear wings it squeaks when settling does that mean the shock absorbers are shot or can they be lubricated somehow?

could be lower shock bushes, you can inspect these for any play.

Spray the coil springs seats top and bottom real well and see if it stops. Also have someone else push down on the car while you listen, and feel under the car to help in isolating the squeek

I also experienced the squeaking from the rear, it was rear wheel bearings in my case as you think.

How about one where the slightest pressure on the bumper reaching in to grab a screwdriver will cause a squeak, but yet on a heavier bounce, no squeak at all?
