There was a recent thread named " The sensor game " with different manufactures / sources
You really only need the aft 2 and the front 2 can be swapped to the aft to hone in engine regulation although there may be some ECU " learning " the swapped in sensor time
There is one fuse for all 4 sensors in the right engine bay fuse box either 10 , or 12 . or 14 . or 16
This fuse that powers the sensors heaters pass through the Papa Indy 1 or 61 connectors just by the front 2 O2 senors connectors
You can swap the 2 aft sensors left and right connectors as they can mis - connected
Someone noticed a difference if the crush washer at the pipe bung was installed
You can source a 12 mm washer from a cheap 12 mm spark plug , the X300 sparkplug is a 14 mm
The X300 O2 sensor's pigtails is galvanized wire and very brittle to twisting , mine had wire sticking out of the pigtail insulation
You can clean the small ground studs on the rear firewall
Ensure the dedicated ground strap is on the ECU case mounting bolt
Ensure the large engine block ground strap on the lower starter mount bolt has clean ends , best from underneath with a 13 mm socket on an 3 inch extension and the car frame bolt is a 10 mm socket

Just the other day I was looking and found zero in the USA. Still available in the UK, tho.
Google "OTD3J-5B1 Sensor"
Cheers
DD
Although u saw them on google search for about $50 whenever I went to the sites they went into the US site and went back to $150 per or they are no longer available. The search continue
I'm not sure why there is a supply problem but it appears to be very real. I'd be more concerned about getting them at all. Finding them for $50 might be a bridge too far.
I checked with this company who said they have "plenty" in stock
Frankly, with the current status of things, $100US for a decent aftermarket O2 sensor is pretty reasonable. Particularly with the “specialty” sensors these cars use. I’ve seen some under the $100 mark on eBay, but buyer beware on those. They could be knockoff garbage so you’re taking a gamble there. Rockauto had some Walker branded sensors the other week, as I’d posted in the other thread. But they’re out of stock again. Best I can say is keep an eye out on RockAuto’s website.
I can tell you that $100 is a bargain. I am on a limited budget and have been looking for a cheaper alternative with no joy. The Walker units that Rock Auto sells are not the titania sensors that these cars require. Finally I broke down and bought on Ebay from this guy in Germany. https://www.ebay.com/str/masautoteile. He sold me three FAE 77185for EUR263.87. Thats with shipping. My '96 VDP needs one and my son's needs two. Hopefully we will have both cars back on the road when they arrive.
You would be looking for change of resistance on the X300 O2 sensors and not voltage generation from a ground
On the ECU return wire on the x300 as installed this would be around 3.5 volts
dc
It is feed a exact 5.0 voltage , there is some dithering involved from my understanding which is not alot
In the end the measure of a proper engine regulation is a short term fuel trim of target 0.0 % in all throttle / load settings , although + or - 3 % is best expected
This on closed loop with engine coolant temp sensor seeing X degrees , this sensor can go bad and con be calibrated against a graph or a pot of hot water
At garage temp it will read about 1700 ohms being powered ( thermisor device ) by your meter off the top of my head
