Octopus hoses
I am finishing up the dreaded octopus hoses on my '96 XJR. Unfortuately, I did not take enough pictures. does anyone have a diagram or picture showing where all the hoses go? There is a vac hose with a rubber 90 degree fitting that goes over the supercharger but to where? Also a vac line that comes from the firewal/down to another group of hoses lower down, where does hte other end go? Under the 90 degree hose there is two other fittings, does the small octopus hose go on the fitting under the 90 or the one even lower? Also seem to have lost the nut/bolt that hold the long slide fitting that goes the vac thing near the throttle bracket. HELP PLEASE!
Thanks

on the note of octopus hoses.
has anyone tried these silicone hoses?
i need to change my hose at some point soon it has slow leak but i have been putting off doing it.
i am tempted by this silicone hose as it should last forever and might be easier to install as its more flexible.
however,
it is a brand i have never heard of and is on ALI Express so yeah....
i mean i have never had an issue with anything from ALI Express before but i just always expect that the quality is questionable.

Suggest you do some Google research on silicone hoses for auto use.
It seems they have a greater permeation rate than the usual rubber hoses, ok for race use but not recommended for street use.

question regarding these hoses and the availability.
as I look around online I pretty much see the hose supplied by URO.
how do these seem to hold up?
are there higher quality ones available by dunlop or anything?
would like to replace it with one that will holdup for as long as possible.

Sometimes Rock Auto has listings for Gates and Dayco hoses for our oldie Jags.
