Well, I am taking the engine out, and the tabs on one of my Norma fittings broke off, and the fitting still will not come apart. What holds it together, and would it be safe to mechanics wire the two pieces together, and simply find another route to disconnect the hoses? It won't twist or anything.

I need to reuse the hoses I have, because the XJ8's hose system, that the donor engine came out of, is very different from my XK8. Any ideas on dealing with this hose problem would be appreciated.....Even if anyone has a complete set of hoses from a donor car....

This is the link I used when I had the same problem about a month ago. I had a post about it and some members cut it off and patched it in with hose and clamps.

 

I finally got it apart. It looked totally perished. SNG Barratt Group made some money off of me today....LOL.....Mike

 

Mike, what hoses do you need? I have a donor car with most of the hoses. PM me if interested.
