This pic is for bringing power into the 87 socket , but a 30 to 87 jumper works as well , recommend good current carrying connection with a blade type connector

Hi all, so we managed to find the issue. And in this case it was self inflicted. It turned out to be a bad coil. I replaced them with QYL's when my son originally bought the car last year. When we last re installed the coils, we accidentally installed two of the original coils. One of them must be bad. We replaced those with the remaining QYL's and it's back to running as it did before this all started. Running very rich. But running. Thanks all for the assistance. I've made mental notes on all the tips and tricks you've brought up, as I don't think we'll ever be done repairing this car. It still needs a lot of TLC. I have some more questions, but I'll start a new thread, since the original problems (error codes) are gone for now.
My car ran rich (as shown by the LTFTs) and after throwing everything I could at it, I found it was the TPS, which is stupidly expensive. The old TPS tested well on the bench, but the proof is in the pudding, my LTFTs have been at zero ever since.
