Default pedal box superceded to plastic?

Was there more than one type of pedal box used on automatic X300's?

The attached picture liberated from ebay is the aluminum version.

There are others listed that seem to have a plastic accelerator pedal
like that used on the X308.

And there is even one that is all plastic that is a dead ringer for the X308
pedal boxes.

More importantly, will the one that is pictured fit into an X308?

Can't answer your X308 fitment question, but that is what is on my 97 XJR.
