Pinion Seal and Vent

Pinion Seal and Vent
Bought a new-to-me x300 recently. It has a pinion seal leak that I need to address. In a quick search, I saw in another post for the x308, that sometime the vent gets clogged and needs to be replaced.
I believe the x300 diff is different than the x308, but I was wondering if the vent on the x300 diff is replaceable.
I haven been under to examine it, but I can't tell from any diagrams if it is removeable/replaceable, and what the part number might be. Maybe it's pressed into the rear cover and non removeable?
Also I understand the pinion seal can be replaced in situ, with the right kit and expertise. Is that correct?
If the vent is removeable/cleanable/replaceable, I might do that myself. The pinion seal I might leave to an indy shop.
Appreciate any advice.

The vent is a plastic part and not the same as the in-line diff. Just replace the pinion seal and go on with your life. The diffs are interchangeable from late 1988 to 1997 if the ratio is the normal 3.58. Some are limited slip and some are not. The LSD needs the additive to keep the clutches quiet.
