Hello, My 1995 X300 Daimler. I suffered a recent failure of the power steering. I sent the pump and the rack for refurbishment. Returned and fitted, alignment completed. One day later the system failed again. Upon removal I found the power steering 'cylinder' (the part which has the fluid in it) had ruptured. This is an anomaly - normally the seals would fail before the metal cylinder. There is no evidence of prior damage to the cylinder. Has there been a history of this type of failure? I am not sure how to proceed as if I fit another rack without having determined the cause risks the same failure. Any suggestions?
