Default Rack and pinion parts

Looking for a place to purchase the seal kit. Mainly looking for the transducer orings. Also looking for the plastic cover the goes over the spline. When my mechanic was pulling it off it broke.

Default No luck

So I went ahead and went to the dealer, which I HATE doing, to get the o-ring set for the rack. They had everything, at $9 per o-ring, except for the set that goes to the transducer. I have looked everywhere and I can get the set if I buy the transducer.....at $600....NOT. Still looking for an option if anyone could suggest.

I have an old redundant parts car and if you can identify/describe the exact item and location I may be able to help, no charge.

The oring between the transducer and the Rack in pinion steering. The transducer is the box that sits above the rack.

So, in an effort to clarify or identify the parts you need, I've attached pics of the rack, as it is out of the car. Perhaps you could enlighten me.

So I got the bits off that I think you need. Pic shows the plastic dust cover, the transducer complete with rubber "O" rings and filter. If they're any good to you. Pm me an address and I'll pop them in the post. Coming from Ireland so I'm not sure how long they'll take. OK?

This is why the forum is so great. People like this. I asked him the cost of shipping and he told me to just pay it forward. Nice!

Following with great interest as I just removed a prodigious leaker from my 95 DD and fit a leak-free unit from the T-Bone car. I fancy rebuilding the leaker for further fitment to the 97 Rescue project which may be a slow leaker... or may just have a porous hose or two. In any event, would like to correct the leaker for the eventual, though certain day when one of the others springs a leak.

Phil,
I understand $9 per o-ring, but how many are there? If possible, do you mind posting the part numbers and quantity of the ones you acquired from the dealer?

Thanks in advance

It's what makes the steering "Speed Sensitive."
