Drove through a nasty rainstorm yesterday. Woke up to the cooling fan running, clock lit and 12V in cig lighter all intermittently turning on at the same time. Car starts and drives without issue. Corroded grounds or what else could this be?

If the fan control relay module if mounted upside down can get water into it flooding the relay contacts

You can shake the relay and hear it

If the water stays in the relay module it will ruin it from corrosion

The black relay module from a X308 will not work for the white X300 version

 

Cleaned it, found only some dirt.

Either way the car’s back to normal.
