Default Rattling coming from front suspension

I only realized this yesterday while slowing driving through a parking lot, next to a building, while I had my windows down. There is a sound coming from, what appears to be, my front suspension and its a rattling. This is a sound I have heard before on many other older cars, but never my own so I have no idea what to look for. Any advice?

As already said, and check your brake caliper anti rattle springs. I chased a rattle/squeak in mine, ever since I've owned it. Nothing obvious was the found, and quite by accident I looked at the calipers whilst bleeding the brakes, dunno why, no matter, and found the wire spring thingy was not as tight as I thought it should be, so a bit of savage reshaping took place, and that damn noise was gone. been 2 months now, so I do believe that was my noise.

Can't worn anti-roll bar bushes cause a similar noise, (sway-bar for the americans) ?

Yes! But The upper bush mounts are more likely to be the cause, if they have not yet been changed. The originals are a low density foam sort of stuff, and they break down from age.

Brake clips checked out fine, so I am assuming that Sparkenzap is correct. Can you help me locate the part number for these bushings or where I might find these for sale? Thanks

Look under the hood at the location where the top shaft of the shocks come through the inner fender wall. You will see rubber dusr, most likely. The part is called and front shock top mount bushing. JagBits, Coventry west and the guys in texas whose name currently escapes me should all have them but warning, they are mucho dinero for some two dollar neoprene pieces- like $90 for the set!

I think you can get them on Ebay for like $40.
