Question Rear swings out

So I was driving my 1996 xj6 the other day and taking a curve at a high rate of speed as I always do and for the first time in nearly 3 years of owning the car, I felt the rear swing out like it wanted to fish tail. The tires are in great condition and the car wasn't skidding out, it felt as though the body was swinging out but the tires were still sticking. what could this be? thanks for the help guys!

Well if it wasn't road conditions/weather etc, my first thought would be to look at the A frame bushes as they help locate the rear suspension.

I don't wanna rain on your parade but is your car crash free namely head on or something like this ?
I used to own an X300 that was involved in an incident (1st owner had it lol ) and one day during my u turn in the university's parking lot it almost span out and my alignment was also correct .It was fun but scary lol

Yes the car is accident free, good question though! And it never did this before, it was always so tight when it took corners!

Check that the rear toe-in is indeed toe-in and not toe-out. Toe-out will cause this feeling. Toe-out is almost never used on street driven vehicles.

Then look to suspension bushings, and cradle bushings. If they allow the tires to shift on lateral load then it gets squirrely.

Had you been driving long enough to get the tires warmed up? Cold tires can be tricky when you are used to summer conditions.

Possible loose drive shaft on hub side.
