Nice, dfieldsend!

I don't know if you've ever tried it, but Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant will make the coolant header tank and other plastic parts look really nice too.

Cheers,

Don

Still got the outer plastics to do, including header tank, and have a little trick in mind for them. Have been concentrating on the metal bits up to this point

Very nice, that's real dedication!

What did you do to the cam cover (I mean the main magnesium cover, not the smaller coils/plugs cover). Did you repaint or just highly polish? - looks great

Looks like the coil and fuel rail covers have been stripped to the base plastic or repainted?

The cam cover looks repainted or plated?

Neither are factory finish but look much better than stock IMO. Nice job!!

Polishing the dam cover is where everything started, the two plastic covers (coil and injector) were stripped and painted body colour
(If I could upload more than one picture on an ipad I'd show more pictures!)

Looks great, what did you use to polish the mag cover, and how much maintenance is required to keep it that nice and shiney?

Just sandpaper, wire wool and autosol metal polish. It does go dull very quickly, but only takes ten minutes or so to bring it back, I also have a spare polished one (the original one) which I have lacquered, but just never got round to fit it yet.

Tim,

Haven't you learned the secret of Jaguar parenthood? Teaching the kids to do the Jag maintenance and upgrades, especially elbow-grease jobs like polishing cam covers!

Cheers,

Don
