Five days ago I replaced the tensioner pulley. Went out of town and the wife drove the car. I got home and went to the garage to put it' in it's place in the garage and hear a noise up front. Opened the hood and the pulley and the belt we're gone. I asked the wife what happen and I got the "oh yea" I was going to tell you. Um hum she said she was driving and it sounded like a golf ball under the car bounced out. Well since I play golf I guess could happen

So to make a long story short I everything but the bolt. Any on have the size

 

Actually found out the bolt is a M8 x 20mm but when I look at this diagram it says "Special Washer".....what the heck

From memory, it is a plain washer, with the clever bit being the external diameter, which supports only the inner part of the pulley bearing, and doesnt impede the rotation of the pulley.

 

Many, many moons ago the wolf came home from work in our '80 Trans Am and indicated something came loose with the exhaust and it was rattling. Went to investigate and saw a puddle of oil on the driveway. Rod, it started right up and idled normalish but sounded like a harley/diesel. It never got back on the road and I sold it for $2500.00. Oppps!
