Default Stalling after warmup

I have a 97 XJ6L with a problem I have not been able to solve. The car stalls after warmup. I've replaced the crank position sensor, spark plugs, tested fuel pressure and nothing has changed. At times before it stalls all warning light in the cluster light up. At other times when I starts to studder the mil light come on and off. Also I noticed that when it stumbles the fuel pump relay clicks like it's losing its ground from the ecm. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi. It might be electrical problem, not the sensors. If you installed any aftermarket electrical parts, inc. radios, maybe you could make sure if every ground point is tightened properly. If not, the problem like yours occurs sometime. hope this helps.

Heard this before elsewhere, many issues of the same consequence, and it was found to be the ignition coil/s breaking down and "back feeding" the system, and dash lights flickering, ECU doing stupid stuff, and once the coils were replaced all was normal again.

I know they are NOT cheap, but that's life with these coil over spark plug systems.

Somone with a tune up scope machine, and the knowledge to use it correctly, should be able to pick up which coil.

You hit the nail on the head. I checked it out this morning in the shop with the lights off and number five ignition coil was flashing like crazy. I replaced the coil and the car runs perfect. Thanks
