Thermostat Factory v. replacement
Hello. The factory thermostat has a little poppet valve in it, I suspect for auto air purging. Is this valve necessary? Can I use the thermostat furnished me as OEM (Not) by Rock Auto? What is the little valve designed to do, if not for purging air? Is it necessary? Thanks very much.
