Thinking of Buying an XJR

Thinking of Buying an XJR
Well, I was thinking about purchasing a cheap 1995 Jaguar XJR which is priced at $2500. I do not think I will pay him quite that much however...I have read that the XJR6 models are more reliable since Jaguar has been building I6 engines for years and basically all the bugs had been sorted out. The car itself has a pristine interior and exterior wise, could use a little TLC for which I will list momentarily. The owner has replaced a large number of parts-brakes, tyres, supercharger coupling (I think?), water pump, thermostat and a bunch of other things I forgot. The mileage is 106,000 Miles.
Here are the problems with the car:
1) Rust around rear arches
2) Sagging headliner
3) Stone chip on that low front bumper
4) Probably needs new struts all around-something that I can do myself cheaply
5) New windshield wiper blade (fortunately there is only one to mess with!)
6) Sunroof shade gone wonky
7) Squeak upon start-up for which he promises to remedy upon purchase (fingers crossed)
8) Needs a good owner
The car is red-kind of like a cayenne red metallic like my Camaro. And yes, the all important leaper is there!
If anyone has a second or two, based on this information, would you guys think this car is a decent buy?
I basically plan to use it as an everyday car...not looking for a show car. My Camaro has served me well as a daily driver so gas mileage is not a concern-just want something with a little character and a small modicum of reliability-something my previous BMW sorely lacked.

I just bought a 96 XJR a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Paid 4k, and I have almost 2k into it. A couple new tires, replaced the whole throttle setup, the cruise control servo and a few cosmetics.
Just got back from test drive on the highway and I am still grinning.
91k miles and it is fast as hell and a delight to drive.
The wheels need to be redone as the clear coat is shot, but other than that it is excellent.
From the research I have done this engine is nearly bulletproof, but
parts will be be pricey.
Mine squeaked on start up, but tightening the belts fixed that.
Did I mention that I love this car?

I absolutely loved my XJR, and at that price, it would be extremely hard to turn down.
certainly sounds like a good value.
shocks WILL be expensive, even if you do them yourself, it will run you close to 500 dollars to acquire all four.
sunroof will cost a few hundred at the dealer. its quite hard to fix on your own unless you take out the headliner and a windshield.
otherwise,
very reliable in my experience
