Track rod end lock nuts - size?
Could anyone tell me the specs of the locknut used for the track rod ends? I'm guessing it's just a flat m12 nut? One of mine is in need of replacement and the new ends don't come with the nuts... Ta!

Thanks Grant - much appreciated.
If I can find someone to sell me a JZN100049, that'll be easier than trying to work out what to get from a fastener supplier...
Just to be clear - I'm in need of the nut that goes onto the track rod before the track rod end, NOT the nut that holds the balljoint in place!
The X300 part diag here doesn't show it as an individual part: http://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/uk...ack-and-pinion
But the XJ40 equivalent does: http://www.jaguarclassicparts.com/uk/part/AEU2997

Same, same.
Even XJ-S/S2/S3, with a rebuilt rack (at least down here) got XJ40 rack ends, hence XJ40 tie rod ends, gets confusing sometimes, metric versus imperial.
Jaguar did use many items from model to model, especially when they went metric, and that kept costs down I suppose.
