Default Transmission gate bulb size

Hi.

Does anyone know what size the bulb is that illuminates the selector up at night. I was taking it out and it fell down into the abyss below the gear shift, and I can not find it

It looks like some type of miniature wedge type bulb.

Cheers

Ian

Ian,

12v 1.2w wedge, so a little sucker.

The Jag # is JLM1224.

Thanks very much. I found one OEM on Ebay and it looks like it is tinted with a bluish coating. I also found it on the jagbits web site https://www.jagbits.com/product/JLM1224.html but they describe it as green.
The one on Ebay they want Canadian $36, that's a bit rich for me. I will give the Jagbits one a try at $8.63.

Regards

Ian

GE 37. Available for pennies on the Jagbits dollar. The blue sleeve over the yellowish glow of the bulb gives the green tint to the backlighting.

The clear GE 37 doesn't have the blue sleeve or tint but works great as it is.

David at EverydayXJ.com probably has a drawer full of them, if you want the genuine tint. Keep in mind that old, used ones won't last long.
